The Afro Summer Jam is more than just a festival – it’s a movement, born out of love, hope, and the desire for change. The visionary behind this initiative is Eve, whose journey is at the heart of this incredible story. At just eight years old, Eve experienced a profound shift in her life when she moved from Nigeria to Switzerland. She had to rediscover herself, fight for her own inclusion, and find her place in a new world. These experiences shaped her, igniting a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) that continues to drive her life today.
Eve is not only the founder of Afro Summer Jam but also the voice behind the radio show Eve Knows Best on Jam On Radio, Switzerland’s only urban radio station. Through her show, she gives a voice to young artists who often lack a platform. She invites them into the studio, shares their stories, and showcases their music. It was through these interactions that she realized many of these artists were also missing opportunities to perform on stage.
This realization sparked the creation of Afro Summer Jam. The festival became a place where young talents are not only heard but also seen. It is a celebration of diversity, a breaker of barriers, and a stage for artists who deserve recognition. Just like her radio show, the festival is also a platform for female empowerment. Women are at the forefront – on stage, behind the scenes, and in the hearts of the attendees.
Afro Summer Jam is a festival for everyone – a celebration of inclusion, cultural diversity, and music. It is Eve’s gift to the community, inspired by her own journey, her belief in justice, and her unshakable hope for a world where everyone can find their place.
Created with love. Carried by hope. Welcome to Afro Summer Jam.
